About the role
Power Systems Applications team at Hitachi Energy builds software that enables smarter, more resilient electricity grids. The Senior EMS Developer leads development of grid control and optimization applications, designs GMS/EMS solutions, and creates integrations between SCADA, EMS and IT/OT systems while collaborating with global customers. Bengaluru, India, on-site role with travel to customer sites.
What you’ll do
- Lead development of grid control and optimization software
- Design and develop GMS/EMS applications
- Collaborate with customers to configure solutions
- Develop workflow integrations between SCADA/EMS/GMS and IT/OT systems
- Create and execute test plans with customers
- Provide training on EMS/GMS functions
- Resolve technical problems in collaboration with technical team
- Support proposals and tendering efforts
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years software development
- Master's in energy systems, electrical engineering or computer science
- Understanding of electric power generation and transmission
- Experience with GMS/EMS/SCADA systems
- Proficiency in C, C++ and FORTRAN
- Willingness to travel to customer locations
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Fluent English
