Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

The Fiserv Credit Risk Organization manages risk across the lifecycle of the firm's products and services. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will manage a portfolio of high-risk, high-volume merchant accounts in the middle market and enterprise space, assist the Credit Director with escalations and adverse actions, and prepare KPI reporting for senior leaders. You will determine risk mitigation strategies and engage internal and external stakeholders to prevent credit losses. This full-time, on-site role is based in Thane, India.

What you’ll do

  • Manage a portfolio of merchant accounts in the high risk and high volume segment, including travel, furniture, e-commerce, membership, consumer discretionary sectors in the middle market and enterpris
  • Assist Credit Director of the portfolio with merchant escalations and adverse actions; act as team lead in the absence of the Credit Director
  • Prepare and present reporting for senior leaders with a focus on key merchant/industry KPI's including liquidity, leverage, financial performance, processing performance, key competitors, emerging ris
  • Determine appropriate risk mitigation strategies for problematic accounts – collateral actions, exit strategies, contract restructurings, etc.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders in legal, relationship management, chargeback operations, bank partners, sales to drive actions forward in a timely fashion to prevent/mitigate credit lo
  • Roll up sleeves to dive into details as a solo contributor or as part of a team and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Be timely with tasks and proactive by seeking out solutions and problem resolution

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related quantitative discipline
  • 3+ years of proven credit risk experience in middle market / corporate bank lending, merchant acquiring risk focused on middle market / enterprise clients and/or asset based lending
  • Strong financial analysis skills with an emphasis on reading Business Financial Statements
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills including ability to present analysis to senior management and external stakeholders
  • Strong business judgement with demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Excellent negotiation and selling skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and comfortable learning and aiding in developing new internal systems
  • Organized, intuitive and analytical thinker with ability to perform detailed credit and data analysis in a fast paced environment
