About the role
The BOLD Platform services team designs, creates, manages, and maintains highly scalable, distributed services powering web and mobile products across domains such as visitor tracking, user profiles, authentication, content, and payments. As a Project Lead/Engineering Manager, you will design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade Java and Spring Boot applications, build high-performance APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL), apply reactive programming, and use IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for secure, reliable AWS deployments. You will also mentor junior engineers, lead architecture and code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues. This role is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot
- Build and optimize APIs (REST, gRPC, and GraphQL) for high performance and scalability
- Apply Reactive programming to build scalable, high-performance applications
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security in production environments
- Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices in coding, testing, and cloud development
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
What you’ll bring
- 9+ years of experience as a Project Lead or Engineering Manager
- Deep expertise in Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud-native services
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Experience building and optimizing APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) for performance and scalability
- Experience in Reactive programming
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade, scalable, high-performance applications
