About the role
Aggreko Manufacturing team designs and builds complex power generator packages. The Senior Mechanical Engineer leads mechanical design of systems and subsystems, provides design input, captures requirements, plans tasks, and ensures HSE performance across diesel‑powered generators. Pune, India, on-site work model, relocation available.
What you’ll do
- Lead mechanical design of generator systems
- Provide design input for new and existing products
- Capture and manage mechanical system requirements
- Plan and drive tasks to meet specifications and timelines
- Ensure designs meet engineering standards and HSE guidelines
- Design engine jacket cooling, ventilation, packaging, and fuel systems
- Develop novel conceptual arrangements for product differentiation
- Drive HSE performance through design and guidance
What you’ll bring
- Mechanical engineering degree
- 9+ years mechanical design experience
- Lead design of diesel generator packages
- Proficiency with CAD tools
- Stage‑gated product development experience
- Engine, alternator, coupling calculations
- Cooling system performance analysis
