About the role
Financial Services team at Stantec handles real estate and equipment lease accounting worldwide. The Financial Analyst prepares lease payments, complex journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensures IFRS 16 compliance while collaborating with Corporate Real Estate, Procurement and external landlords. What you’ll do
- Review lease and sublease agreements for IFRS implications
- Update CoStar lease database and coordinate changes
- Prepare monthly lease payments and analyze variances
- Create complex journal entries and internal allocations
- Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations
- Assist in period‑end close process
What you’ll bring
- Accounting degree or diploma
- Minimum two years IFRS 16 (Ind AS 116) lease accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Strong communication and detail‑orientation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet firm deadlines
- Independent and collaborative work style
