About the role

Medtronic seeks a Principal Enterprise Software Engineer to lead mobile app development across iOS and Android platforms. The role requires deep expertise in native languages Swift/Objective‑C and Kotlin/Java, as well as cross‑platform frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, and Xamarin. Candidates must have 12+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying high‑quality mobile applications, a solid grasp of mobile architecture, design patterns, RESTful APIs, and app store submission processes. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining mobile apps, collaborating with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend teams, writing clean code, troubleshooting performance, ensuring security and quality, staying current with industry trends, and participating in code reviews. Preferred qualifications include CI/CD pipeline experience, mobile security best practices, automated testing, Agile/Scrum experience, and knowledge of FDA/ISO design control. What you’ll do

Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of experience developing and deploying mobile applications on iOS and Android.
Proficiency in native languages: Swift/Objective‑C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android.
Experience with at least one cross‑platform mobile framework (Flutter, React Native, etc.).
Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with app store submission processes for Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for mobile apps.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Knowledge of FDA and ISO design control requirements is a plus.
