About the role

Affera Mapping and Ablation System team at Medtronic builds advanced electrophysiology software for medical devices. The Principal Enterprise Software Engineer leads product security, creates and maintains SBOMs, and automates vulnerability triage across regulated medical products. Based in Hyderabad, hybrid work model with on‑site collaboration, offering relocation assistance and short‑term incentive plan.

What you’ll do

• Technically lead a group of engineers on product security and vulnerability remediation
• Create and maintain SBOMs meeting FDA requirements
• Review, analyze, and triage vulnerabilities from SBOM scans
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to assess risk and prioritize fixes
• Develop scripts to automate vulnerability management processes
• Document findings, actions, and outcomes thoroughly
• Provide recommendations for component upgrades based on trends

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 12-16 years of relevant experience
• Product security and vulnerability management expertise
• Threat modeling and CVSS scoring experience
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language
• Experience in regulated medical device industry
• Familiarity with SBOM tools like Dependency‑Track
• Knowledge of FDA cybersecurity guidance
