Software Development Engineer in Test - Client Automation and QA

About the role

HPE Networking SASE & Security team builds AI‑driven networking and security solutions for enterprise edge‑to‑cloud environments. The SDET validates the Atmos Agent client across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS and ChromeOS, automating test cases, integrating them into CI pipelines, and troubleshooting failures. Bengaluru office, on‑site work model, with opportunities to contribute to secure client software and automation frameworks.

What you’ll do

• Own validation of client features across multiple platforms
• Develop and maintain automation libraries and test cases
• Integrate automated suites into CI pipelines and triage failures
• Design and execute functional, regression and integration test scenarios
• Debug client, OS and network issues and reproduce customer‑reported problems
• Collaborate with development, support and product teams to improve quality

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years QA experience in networking or security client software
• Strong Python programming
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium or Appium
• Hands‑on testing of desktop and mobile client applications
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN and secure access protocols
