Forward Deployed Engineering Manager, Generative AI, Google Cloud

What you’ll do

• Lead AI/ML engineers bridging frontier AI products to production‑grade customer solutions
• Set code standards, architectural best practices, and benchmarks for the team
• Partner with sales and technical leadership to define high‑value opportunity requirements and deploy specialized experts
• Drive technical hiring, evaluate AI/ML expertise and systems engineering skills
• Identify skill gaps in emerging AI stack and ensure team expertise in MCP, tool‑calling, foundation models
• Collaborate with product and engineering to resolve blockers and translate field insights into roadmaps

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years experience in cloud computing or technical customer‑facing role
• 2 years experience managing software engineering or Forward Deployed Engineering team
• Experience developing AI/GenAI solutions using AI tools or designing multi‑agent/RAG systems
• Proficiency in Python or similar language
