About the role
Ciena Real Estate and Workplace Services (CREWS) ensures safe, reliable operation of critical infrastructure for Ciena’s Gurugram facilities. The Specialist leads electrical, mechanical, security and building automation systems, conducts reliability studies, oversees maintenance windows, and manages major site projects from design through closeout. This role is based in Gurugram, on-site, supporting global best‑practice adoption and operational continuity.
What you’ll do
- Lead safe and reliable operation of critical electrical, mechanical, security, and building automation systems
- Perform infrastructure studies, condition and age assessments, and single‑point‑of‑failure reviews
- Develop and govern reliability best practices, standard processes, and improvement initiatives
- Oversee critical maintenance‑window activities and high‑risk maintenance events
- Review quarterly load assessments and manage major site infrastructure projects
- Develop project estimates, conceptual designs, feasibility studies, budgets, forecasts, and business justifications
- Coordinate change management, metrics reporting, service provider activities, compliance, and stakeholder communications
