About the role

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC team focuses on verification and validation of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems. The Lead defines test strategies, develops validation plans, and oversees lab setup and prototype testing to ensure safety and performance compliance. Bengaluru, on-site.

What you’ll do

• Define overall test and validation strategy for battery modules, packs, racks, and containers
• Develop Validation Master Plans, DVP&R, test cases and matrices
• Lead electrical, BMS, thermal, communication and safety system testing
• Coordinate with certification agencies and manage UL and IEC compliance testing
• Plan and execute vibration, shock, thermal cycling, humidity and corrosion tests
• Procure, install and maintain test infrastructure such as cyclers and environmental chambers
• Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports and failure analysis
• Lead root‑cause analysis and cross‑functional collaboration

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Controls or related field
• 6-12+ years BESS testing/validation experience
• Experience leading teams and cross‑functional projects
• Familiarity with UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1973, IEC 62933 standards
