About the role
E-Trading team at Wells Fargo builds low‑latency, high‑throughput trading platforms. The Senior Specialty Software Engineer designs, codes, tests, and debugs Java applications, ensures compliance and risk management, and collaborates with traders and product managers to integrate exchange connectivity. Bengaluru office, on-site work model, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Lead complex initiatives on trading domains
- Ensure quality, security, and compliance of systems
- Provide technical solutions and support
- Create test data and conduct unit/integration tests
- Research and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams for system integration
- Troubleshoot production issues in real‑time trading
- Drive innovation with new technologies
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years specialty software engineering experience
- Design and optimization of low‑latency Java applications
- Electronic/Algorithmic trading experience
- Multi‑threaded and distributed systems expertise
- Developing FIX, ITCH, OUCH protocols
- Messaging systems such as Solace or Aeron
- CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (Karate, Cucumber)
- Git version control
