Structural Analysis Engineer

About the role

Quest Global is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, to deliver advanced finite element analysis and structural assessments for engineering solutions. The role involves performing FE meshing of complex structures, setting up and running linear and non-linear analyses in ANSYS (Workbench & APDL), conducting fatigue and bolted joint assessments, validating results, and presenting findings to stakeholders. The position requires a Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering with 2 to 5 years of hands-on FEA experience.

What you’ll do

• Perform model set-up including material, boundary condition, load, and contact application in ANSYS
• Perform linear and non-linear modeling
• Perform static thermal, structural, and modal analyses
• Perform bolted joint assessment using reduced order and 3D modeling approaches
• Perform fatigue (LCF and HCF) analysis
• Validate results and document the assessment with results summary and conclusion
• Participate in internal and external reviews and present assessments to stakeholders
• Perform tasks in a timely manner with high quality

What you’ll bring

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL)
• Proficient in FE meshing of complex structures using 1D, 2D, and 3D elements
• Hands-on experience creating hexahedral, tetrahedral, and combined meshes with transition in ANSYS/NX CAE
• Working experience in UG NX modeling, including model clean-up and modification using Spaceclaim or Design Modeller
• Good understanding of ANSYS Element library, material models, and APDL scripting
• Good experience in free body diagram and hand calculation
• Experience performing strength assessment as per ASME BPV Sec VIII Code
