About the role
SBM Offshore Mechanical Engineering team designs and builds floating production solutions for the offshore energy industry. The Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer assists senior engineers with specifications, datasheets, RFQs, and detailed engineering of pumps, compressors, turbines, and related packages on offshore facilities. Bangalore, India, on-site role focusing on offshore oil and gas rotating equipment projects.
What you’ll do
- Assist lead mechanical engineer in daily tasks
- Prepare and check engineering deliverables such as specifications and datasheets
- Review vendor offers and conduct bid clarification meetings
- Approve vendor drawings and technical bids
- Perform detail engineering of chemical injection, water maker, fire water pumps, cranes, generators
What you’ll bring
- 5-10 years experience in offshore oil & gas
- Detail engineering of rotating equipment and packages
- Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines
- Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, ANSI, API codes
- Effective communication and teamwork

Bachelor/Master of Technology - Mechanical
