About the role

Insight seeks a Cloud Engineer II to design and govern its unified cloud analytics ecosystem using Microsoft Fabric and Azure. This role involves architecting enterprise data solutions, modernizing legacy BI environments, and implementing secure, scalable infrastructure across hybrid locations in India. The position requires deep expertise in Power BI, OneLake, and Azure Data Platforms to drive digital transformation.

What you’ll do

  • Architect enterprise-wide Microsoft Fabric capacity strategies, multi-workspace tenant topology, and storage patterns
  • Design high-performance semantic models using Direct Lake, Hybrid, and Import modes with DAX optimization
  • Lead strategic migration roadmaps transitioning legacy SSAS, SQL, or Tableau environments into Microsoft Fabric
  • Architect secure cloud connectivity between Azure services using VNets, Private Endpoints, and NSGs
  • Define Zero-Trust authentication architecture integrating Entra ID, Service Principals, and Azure Key Vault
  • Establish enterprise Fabric capacity management policies to balance performance and minimize cloud spend
  • Implement end-to-end governance frameworks with Microsoft Purview for sensitivity labeling and lineage tracking
  • Architect automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions and manage programmatic platform workflows

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years in IT/Data Architecture specializing in Power BI, Azure Data Platforms, and Microsoft Fabric
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture, OneLake, Direct Lake mode, and VertiPaq engine diagnostics
  • Proven track record designing Azure Data landing zones, VNets, Private Endpoints, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Hands-on experience implementing enterprise CI/CD for BI, Git integration, Entra ID RBAC, and Microsoft Purview
