Senior SDET

About the role

Iris Software is seeking a Senior SDET to join its Quality Engineering practice in Gurugram, India. The role focuses on designing and building Java automation frameworks, automating backend and legacy systems, and validating data with strong SQL skills. You will work within Agile and DevOps delivery models on mission-critical applications across financial services, healthcare, transportation & logistics, and professional services.

What you’ll do

• Design and build Java automation frameworks
• Automate backend and legacy systems, including service interfaces and batch processes
• Perform backend and data validation using strong SQL skills
• Develop API-based automation using REST assured
• Work within Agile and DevOps delivery models
• Apply QA automation competencies including Selenium, TDD, and framework creation for testing
• Support basic build, deployment, and CI/CD activities
• Contribute to risk management within QA/QE

What you’ll bring

• 6-8 years of experience in SDET, Java automation, and a strong Software Automation Testing mindset
• Domain-specific experience in the Cards area
• Strong hands-on experience designing and building Java automation frameworks
• Strong coding in Java with knowledge of coding standards and design principles
• Exposure to API-based framework using REST assured
• Experience automating backend and legacy systems, including service interfaces and batch processes
• Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models

Nice to have

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms is advantageous
