About the role

StorageGRID team at NetApp builds AWS‑compatible object storage for next‑gen AI data lakes. As a Senior Software Engineer (SDET) you will own end‑to‑end system test strategy, build scalable automation frameworks, and lead non‑functional testing for performance and reliability. You’ll work on‑site in Bangalore, collaborating with developers to embed quality early and mentor SDET teams.

What you’ll do

• Own and drive end‑to‑end system test strategy
• Build scalable, efficient automation and regression frameworks
• Improve test coverage across complex distributed workflows
• Lead performance, reliability, scalability, and failover testing
• Collaborate with dev teams to embed quality early (shift‑left)
• Drive root‑cause analysis and continuous quality improvements
• Mentor SDET teams and raise automation standards

What you’ll bring

• 8–12 years in software testing/quality engineering
• Strong experience in system testing & automation (Python/Ruby/Perl)
• Expertise in distributed systems (APIs, networking, Linux, AWS, NoSQL)
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile, and scalable test frameworks
• Hands‑on performance, concurrency, and reliability testing

Nice to have

BE/MS in Computer Science or related field
