About the role

Principal System Administrator on the SAP BASIS team at RTX in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The role ensures optimal performance and uptime of enterprise SAP systems, driving automation and process improvements across finance, inventory, and engineering domains. Day‑to‑day duties include monitoring, tuning, patching, and on‑call support, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to shape SAP infrastructure strategy. Hybrid work model with onsite presence as required.

What you’ll do

• Monitor SAP system performance and capacity
• Plan and execute SAP and DB system installations, patches, and refreshes
• Handle service management tickets and on‑call rotation
• Develop and maintain SAP infrastructure documentation
• Collaborate with data center, network, and security teams
• Identify automation opportunities and process improvements
• Support SAP DT teams during outages
• Prepare formal documentation and test scripts

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years SAP Basis experience
• Proficiency in SAP ECC, BW, PI, Solution Manager, HANA
• Shell scripting
• Excel VBA
• IT networking concepts
• Server, storage, database architecture
• Performance monitoring tools
