Power BI Developer

About the role

Quest Global is seeking a Power BI Developer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. The role involves building Power BI dashboards and reports, modeling data, writing DAX calculations, and managing ETL processes while collaborating with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into BI solutions. The position is a full-time role requiring 8+ years of Power BI development experience.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into BI solutions
• Create and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop
• Develop DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and calculated columns
• Build and manage ETL processes from various data sources
• Connect Power BI with databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and report performance optimization
• Configure row-level security (RLS) and data governance standards

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years of experience in Power BI development
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
• Experience with data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into BI solutions

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks)
• Familiarity with Excel, SSRS, or Tableau is an advantage
