Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Financial Crime Technology (FCT) at Commonwealth Bank builds and maintains technology services for regulatory compliance and financial crime detection. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer ensures the reliability, availability, and observability of the FCP platform, automates monitoring, supports incident response, and leads CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native deployments. Bangalore, on-site, hybrid schedule with on-call rotations as required.

What you’ll do

• Improve reliability and availability of monitoring and screening platforms
• Define and manage SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and observability
• Provide L1/L2 production support for FCP services and cloud components
• Build and maintain automation scripts for batch processing and operational tasks
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years software development
• Strong SRE and observability experience
• AWS cloud services (EC2,S3,RDS, IAM, VPC)
• Python and Shell scripting
• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus)
• Batch processing with AutoSys
• Oracle FCMRE and financial crime platform
• Linux/Unix environments
