About the role
Mahindra Auto Division leads vehicle and component engineering across Special Vehicle Programs, New Utility Platforms, and Accessories. The Engineering Lead provides technical leadership, overseeing engineering sign‑off, validation, homologation and cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, safety and regulatory compliance. Mumbai, On-site, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Lead vehicle and component engineering across programs
- Define engineering objectives and technical roadmaps
- Own engineering sign‑off and technical governance
- Drive validation and DVP execution
- Lead DFMEA and risk mitigation activities
- Oversee homologation and regulatory compliance
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Conduct feasibility reviews and integrate design
What you’ll bring
- 8-10 years automotive engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automobile or Electrical Engineering
- Leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Expertise in CAE, DFMEA and DVP processes
- Homologation and regulatory compliance experience
- Experience with vehicle platforms and launch activities
- Program management and technical roadmap development
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
