About the role

Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre seeks a Piping Designer to lead teams in delivering sustainable engineering solutions for pharmaceutical and process industries. The role involves developing detailed 3D piping models, generating isometric drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards using CADWorx and Plant 3D. This position is based in Bangalore or Mumbai, India, on an on-site basis.

What you’ll do

  • Develop detailed piping designs, layouts, and models using Cadworx based on P&IDs and specifications
  • Create 3D models of piping systems, equipment, and structures to optimize space utilization
  • Generate isometric drawings, orthographic views, and material take-offs for construction support
  • Conduct clash detection analysis and resolve interferences between components
  • Review P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor data to incorporate accurate piping details
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project-specific requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design objectives
  • Implement quality procedures and demonstrate leadership in managing medium-scale projects

What you’ll bring

  • Diploma in technical/engineering discipline with certified course in Autodesk Plant 3D/CADWorx
  • Minimum 3+ years in plant piping design
  • At least 3+ years experience leading a team
  • Proficiency in Plant 3D, CADWorx, or Revit for 3D modeling and isometric generation
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3, ANSI, API, and other industry standards

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical/engineering discipline
  • Affiliation to professional organizations like Autodesk
  • Experience in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or Food & Beverage sectors
  • Experience creating project specs and catalogs in plant design software
