Power BI Developer

About the role

Precision Medicine Group’s Project Finance & Analytics team builds enterprise Trial Analytics to empower clinical operations, finance, and executive leadership. The Power BI Developer designs and maintains semantic models, KPI standardization, and performance‑optimized dashboards that translate trial and portfolio metrics into actionable insights. Based in Bangalore, India, the role is on‑site with a focus on cross‑functional collaboration with Data Engineering, Corporate IT, and clinical stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models, including DAX measures, KPIs, hierarchies, and table relationships
• Translate business‑defined KPIs into scalable analytical logic
• Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and refresh efficiency
• Validate metrics with Finance, Clinical Operations, and Business Operations stakeholders
• Implement and maintain row‑level security, workspace permissions, and dataset access controls
• Manage versioning, QA testing, and deployment of dashboards across environments
• Promote BI best practices and provide training to functional teams
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Corporate IT, and Data Warehouse teams

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of enterprise Power BI development
• Strong DAX expertise (complex measures, time intelligence)
• Power BI semantic modeling
• Power Query (M) for light transformations
• SQL for validation and analysis
• Data modeling (star schema, grain management)
• Experience with executive and operational audiences

Nice to have

• Experience in clinical trials, CROs, or life sciences datasets (CTMS, enrollment tracking)
• Exposure to ERP financial datasets (actuals, budgets, revenue recognition, WIP, invoicing)
• Familiarity with Azure data tools and Power BI Service
• Experience with performance tuning and capacity considerations
• Professional services or project‑based environment experience
