About the role
Data & Analytics team at Altera builds enterprise‑wide BI solutions to enable data‑informed decisions. The Power BI Developer designs, develops, and optimizes dashboards and reports, creates robust data models with DAX and Power Query, and integrates Power BI with Fabric, Azure, SQL Server and APIs. Works on‑site in Bengaluru, collaborating with business stakeholders and mentoring junior developers.
What you’ll do
- Design and deploy high‑performance Power BI dashboards
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop and optimize data models and DAX calculations
- Integrate Power BI with multiple cloud and on‑prem data sources
- Implement security, access controls, and workspace governance
- Mentor junior developers and promote BI best practices
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years total experience
- 3+ years Power BI development
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M)
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS data sources
- Implement row‑level security and governance
- Bachelor's Degree
Nice to have
- Microsoft Power BI or Azure certification (e.g., PL‑300)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or Synapse
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
