About the role
The Apex Group, a leading fund administration and middle office solutions provider, seeks a Senior Business System Specialist to join its automation team in Pune. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated fund reconciliation workflows using VBA and the Fund Recs platform, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include troubleshooting automation issues, optimizing manual processes, performing detailed reconciliations and exception management with Advent Geneva and Fund Recs, documenting procedures, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver solutions. Candidates must have strong VBA skills, experience with Fund Recs or similar platforms, proficiency in Advent Geneva, Excel, SQL, and ETL tools. The position requires 8-10 years of experience in fund services and is full‑time, on‑site in Pune, India. Start date July 31, 2025.
What you’ll do
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated fund reconciliation workflows, primarily using VBA scripts and the Fund Recs platform.
- Investigate and resolve automation issues, ensuring smooth daily operations and timely escalation of complex challenges.
- Identify manual touchpoints in existing workflows and suggest automation or process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform detailed reconciliations, exception management, break resolutions, and support reporting needs using both Advent Geneva and Fund Recs.
- Maintain thorough documentation for automated processes, user guides, and business procedures to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
- Work with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and ensure quality standards are met.
What you’ll bring
- Strong working knowledge of VBA for automation tasks.
- Experience with Fund Recs or similar reconciliation automation platforms.
- Experience with Advent Geneva for fund workflows, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with SQL and data mapping/ETL tools.
