About the role
TVH is seeking a Data Engineer to join its global team specializing in consolidating technical and service information from various data sources across markets and industries. You will translate requirements into technical implementations, design and develop end-to-end data delivery processes for customer-facing search engines, and build high-quality data products from unstructured and semi-structured equipment data. Based in Pune, this is a full-time hybrid role reporting to the Team Manager Data Engineering, with a willingness to travel a few weeks per year.
What you’ll do
- Translate requirements into technical implementation by working closely with analysts to identify data points from unstructured data sources and design fit-for-use data products
- Design and develop the entire end-to-end data delivery process within customer-facing search engines
- Build efficient data extraction and transformation methodologies to produce high-quality data products
- Deep-dive into the Equipment data domain to untangle complex data challenges and find the right data connections
- Translate complex data challenges into potential resolutions and data models that meet business and system requirements
- Continuously search for process and quality improvements throughout the data delivery process, from project documentation to new technical ways of working
- Improve data quality, boost efficiency and reduce time-to-delivery

What you’ll bring
- Bachelor or master's degree in Business science, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in Data engineering
- Strong Python skills or similar coding experience
- SQL skills (both standard SQL as BigQuery SQL will be used)
- Experience working on unstructured and semi-structured data
- Extensive experience with the general principles of data bases, data engineering, data modeling, data transformation and data pipelining
- Strong skills in data profiling and source-to-target mapping are critical
- Fluent communication (speaking and writing) in English
Nice to have
- AI Integration/Prompt engineering knowledge in Data engineering
- Knowledge about machines and automotives and related Technical data
- Affinity with the Equipment parts and service industry
- Basic knowledge of Google Cloud or other cloud solutions
- MS SQL Server knowledge
- Familiar with project development methodologies such as Scrum (Agile)
- Knowledge of UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, ..
