Senior Engineer, Systems Software & Platform Engineering

About the role

Qualcomm India Private Limited seeks a Senior Engineer to develop and optimize platform software for next-generation SoC platforms in Hyderabad, Telangāna. The role involves system-level debugging, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration on Linux, Android, and RTOS environments. This is an On-site position.

What you’ll do

• Develop and integrate platform software across Linux, Android, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, firmware, middleware, and subsystem interfaces
• Support platform bring-up, feature enablement, and software readiness for new silicon programs
• Investigate and resolve complex issues spanning hardware, firmware, kernel, middleware, and application layers
• Analyze and optimize system behavior across power, performance, memory, thermal, reliability, and user experience dimensions
• Drive customer issue investigations from problem identification through root-cause analysis and resolution
• Mentor junior engineers and promote software quality and debugging best practices
• Own execution of assigned features and technical deliverables
• Participate in customer debugging sessions and technical reviews

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with embedded systems, BSP, RTOS, Linux, Android, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, firmware, kernel, or platform software development
• Experience with system-level debugging, performance analysis, and software integration
