Lead Software Engineer, Product Security and DevOps

About the role

Product Security and DevOps team at Fortive builds secure, reliable software for regulated medical products. The Lead Software Engineer embeds security into the SDLC, develops code in Java/C/C++/Python, and drives CI/CD automation while mentoring engineers. Bengaluru East, on-site role, hybrid collaboration with quality, regulatory and cybersecurity groups.

What you’ll do

• Define and implement secure software development practices across product teams
• Perform threat modeling, security reviews, vulnerability assessments and remediation guidance
• Design, develop, debug and maintain product software with a security focus
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation and integration of security checks
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory and cybersecurity stakeholders to ensure compliance
• Mentor engineers on secure coding, DevSecOps adoption and best practices

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years software development, product security or DevOps experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Hands‑on Java, C, C++ or Python
• Experience with secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
