Lead Product Owner/Digital Product Manager

About the role

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Lead Product Owner to drive the roadmap for Telemetry and IoT capabilities within its multi-million-dollar digital platform. The role involves maximizing product value, managing backlogs, and collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders in Bangalore or Chennai. This is a full-time position requiring significant technical product management experience.

What you’ll do

• Drive the product roadmap for Telemetry and IoT capabilities for multi-year, multi-million-dollar digital platform
• Maximize the value of the product and the work of the Engineering teams
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the Product Backlog according to business value
• Communicate Product Backlog priorities to development teams
• Define acceptance criteria of Epics and features for the product area
• Collaborate with Product owners, Architects, Business Analysts and other Product Managers
• Inspect product progress and accept or reject delivery of Epics and Features
• Represent customers and stakeholders, interfacing and engaging with them as needed

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager
• 2+ years experience as a Technical Product Manager
• Over 10 years of overall experience working with technical teams
• Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Team Services, Rally, and Aha
