Cloud Security Engineer, Officer

About the role

Cloud Security Engineering at State Street secures enterprise‑scale multi‑cloud environments. The team builds and governs security guardrails, automates controls and integrates security into CI/CD pipelines. The Cloud Security Engineer designs baseline configurations, implements detection and response controls, and collaborates with DevOps to embed security across cloud deployments. Hybrid role based in Hyderabad with 4 days onsite per week, also supporting Bangalore office.

What you’ll do

• Establish secure baseline configurations for cloud services across AWS and Azure
• Design, implement and govern preventative and detective cloud security controls
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps teams
• Automate security assessments and remediation using Terraform and Python
• Support incident response and remediation efforts with downstream security operations

What you’ll bring

• 6-10 years overall IT experience, at least 5 years in Cloud Engineering/Security/Operations
• Deep expertise in AWS and Azure cloud stacks
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform for IaC
• Proficient in Python for security automation
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, encryption, secrets management and security monitoring
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security, Microsoft Cyber Security Architect or CCSP
