About the role
Amazon Connectivity team designs connectivity software for Amazon devices such as Fire TV and Echo. The Sr Software Development Engineer builds and optimizes Wi‑Fi software, works with chipset vendors, and collaborates across software teams to add unique features while providing customer support. Bengaluru, India, on-site (3 days onsite).
What you’ll do
- Design, develop and enhance Wi‑Fi software for consumer products
- Optimize Wi‑Fi performance and power consumption
- Integrate Wi‑Fi chipset solutions with vendors
- Collaborate with software teams to deliver customer features
- Provide technical assistance for customer issues
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years software development
- Proficiency in Java, C++ or C#
- Hands‑on IEEE802.11/Wi‑Fi protocols
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Android and Linux kernel/driver development
- Use of Wi‑Fi debugging tools
Nice to have
- Experience with major Wi‑Fi chipset vendors
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols
