Senior IT Analyst Applications

About the role

Caterpillar’s Applications Development & Intelligence Automation team in Bangalore seeks a Senior IT Analyst to bridge business and technical needs for Infor Baan/ERP LN systems. The role involves designing solutions, supporting ERP modules, and collaborating with stakeholders on implementation and maintenance. This is an on-site position based in Bangalore, Karnataka.

What you’ll do

• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Provide end-to-end support for ERP implementations, upgrades, and maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Participate in data migration, system integration, and testing activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimize business disruption
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, security policies, and regulatory requirements
• Support change management initiatives and provide post-implementation support

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience with Infor Baan or Infor LN ERP systems
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, or finance business processes
• Experience in system configuration, customization, and integration
• Proficiency in Baan/LN tools, scripting, and reporting

Nice to have

• Experience with Infor LN latest versions and cloud deployments
• Understanding of SOD, access controls, Sox controls, and audits
• Familiarity with SQL, database management, and reporting tools
• Certification in Infor Baan/LN or related modules
