The Senior Principal Data Engineer leads cross‑team projects, architects large‑scale data systems, mentors senior engineers, and drives technology adoption across the organization. Remote work from India, full‑time role, with a focus on Snowflake, AWS, and real‑time analytics pipelines.
What you’ll do
- Lead cross‑team data engineering projects
- Architect domain‑specific data systems
- Mentor senior engineers and enforce quality standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Gen
- Evaluate and implement new data technologies
- Produce high‑volume pull requests and code reviews
- Author technical specifications and RFCs
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and PCI‑DSS
What you’ll bring
- 6-10 years data engineering experience
- Expertise in SQL and Python
- Extensive Snowflake architecture and performance tuning
- Strong AWS data operations experience
- Production experience with DBT or SQL Mesh
- CI/CD pipeline and GitFlow/trunk development
- Apache Kafka and real‑time analytics pipelines
- Familiarity with Apache Iceberg and Lakehouse architectures
