What you’ll do
- Collaborate with sales and estimating staff to design potential systems
- Prepare or approve preliminary design documents including mass flow diagrams, P&IDs with equipment lists, general arrangement drawings, and control schematics
- Perform and document engineering calculations for proposed systems
- Review and approve quotations/contracts as they pertain to process operation and scope
- Design safe and effective systems and components to customer and contractual specifications
- Develop functional descriptions for use by automation/controls in programming
- Provide critical design reviews and approvals at project milestones
- Direct commissioning activities for assigned projects and provide on-site technical support and operator training
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Dairy Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in the food, beverage, or dairy process industry
- Strong background in process design, mass balances, P&IDs, and system commissioning
- Results-oriented with strong analytical abilities
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Project management capability
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Willingness to travel 25-40% of the time
