Senior System Software Engineer to design safety and security compliant system software for NVIDIA DRIVE autonomous vehicles, create creative solutions for complex problems, develop real‑time software for Tegra SOC, bring‑up next‑generation hardware, collaborate with ASIC teams on virtualization, design debugging tools, develop performance workflows, resolve cross‑stack issues, and apply Formal Methods for high‑integrity software.
What you’ll do
- Design ISO26262/ISO21434 compliant system software for NVIDIA DRIVE autonomous vehicles
- Create simple, creative solutions for complex system problems
- Design real‑time system software for NVIDIA Tegra SOC
- Develop & bring‑up next‑generation Tegra SOC hardware
- Collaborate with ASIC teams to enhance SOC virtualization support
- Design debugging tools to improve DRIVE platform developer experience
- Develop performance workflows and tools to measure system software performance
- Resolve complex issues across large software stack components
- Apply Formal Methods to build high‑integrity software with automated toolchain
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor/Master CS or equivalent experience
- 8+ yrs System Software dev on real-time embedded systems
- Deep understanding of computer architecture & OS fundamentals
- Strong C/C++ and/or Ada/SPARK programming & debugging
- Hands‑on debugging tools: gdb, valgrind
- Dedicated, action‑oriented teammate with strong analytical & interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- In-depth knowledge of embedded systems & RTOS (QNX, RT Linux)
- Strong ARM architecture expertise; low-level software for ARM v8 SOCs
- End‑to‑end feature ownership following SDLC practices
- Hands‑on performance analysis tools: gprof, perf, system analyzer
- Formal methods experience: TLA+, Ada/SPARK, PCI/PCIe drivers, NVMe
