About the role
Bloom Energy’s NPI team drives new product development from concept to mass manufacturing. The Senior Staff Engineer leads the NPI process, transfers technology to contract manufacturers, and ensures design and manufacturing meet quality standards. Based in Bangalore, the role is on‑site with 20% travel to support global contract partners.
What you’ll do
- Lead NPI process for new product development
- Transfer technology from design to mass manufacturing
- Drive manufacturing, material and test readiness at contract manufacturers
- Conduct DFx reviews and process capability assessments
- Structure and maintain new product BOMs
- Develop assembly work instructions and procedures
- Set clear goals and expectations for stakeholders
- Implement ECNs and deviations in manufacturing and vendor processes
- Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA & SCM teams
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor of Engineering in EEE/ECE
- 10+ years NPI Program Management
- Hands‑on PCBA and Box builds
- Knowledge of PCB, Sheet metal, Cable Harness
- Power electronics (DC‑DC, Inverters)
- Manufacturing process expertise
- PLM concepts (BOM, ECN, Deviations)
- Cross‑functional communication
