About the role

Home Lending Credit Risk team at Wells Fargo oversees credit policy and risk management for the Home Lending portfolio. The Lead Risk Analytics Consultant drives complex business analysis, modeling and reporting initiatives, monitors front‑line credit decisions and provides independent risk oversight across origination and servicing. Bengaluru, India, on-site, hybrid schedule with occasional remote days.

What you’ll do

• Lead complex initiatives in business analysis and modeling
• Review and analyze programming models to extract data for statistical and financial modeling
• Manage rollout of pilot programs based on model outcomes
• Provide independent oversight of front‑line credit decisions and risk exposure
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to resolve regulatory and production issues
• Produce reports and recommendations for leadership, including credit memos
• Monitor risk indicators and control outcomes across portfolios
• Mentor junior analysts and lead project teams

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years risk analytics experience
• Bachelor's degree in quantitative field
• Advanced programming in SAS, R or Python
• Proficiency with SQL and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong technical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and partnering abilities
• Experience in credit risk analytics for home lending
• Ability to lead projects and mentor teams
