About the role

Ericsson's RAN System Verification team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India is seeking a Technology Manager to drive delivery of 5G solutions. The role leads development and quality assurance teams to ensure best-in-class product performance, capacity, and scalability within an end-to-end customer-representative test environment, collaborating closely with design teams. Day-to-day work includes mentoring engineering teams, integrating features across global R&D units, ensuring rigorous software quality and conformance, enabling Continuous Deployment, and driving innovative QA strategies. The position is based in Bangalore.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams to secure cutting-edge 5G NR product performance
  • Collaborate across global R&D units to integrate features and align technical direction
  • Ensure software deliveries meet rigorous quality, performance, and conformance requirements
  • Enable and support Continuous Deployment in a customer-focused environment
  • Drive innovative quality assurance strategies to maintain leadership in operational efficiency

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related disciplines
  • 10+ years of telecom R&D experience
  • At least 3 years in a line management or technical management role
  • Proven expertise in quality assurance and verification, including test strategy, process and automation
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale software delivery and agile development
  • Good knowledge of 5G NR/LTE architecture and key performance KPIs

Nice to have

  • Exposure to O-RAN architectures and virtualization/containerization frameworks
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration in telecom systems
  • Understanding of 3GPP 5G NR standards
