Lead Technical Consultant (Azure DB)

About the role

Perficient is seeking a Lead Technical Consultant (Azure DB) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, to join its Platforms & Technology practice. In this role, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects, define scope and sizing, and anchor Proof of Concept developments. Day-to-day work includes delivering solution architecture for business problems, integrating platforms with third-party services, designing and developing complex client features, and providing technology direction while ensuring implementation compliance. You will collaborate with a globally distributed team, mentor junior architects and developers, and participate in sales pursuits. The position requires openness to travel.

What you’ll do

• Provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects
• Assist in defining scope and sizing of work and anchor Proof of Concept developments
• Provide solution architecture for business problems and platform integration with third-party services
• Design and develop complex features for clients’ business needs
• Provide technology direction, ensure project implementation compliance, and use technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions
• Participate in sales and various pursuits focused on clients’ business needs
• Mentor junior architects and/or development team members as part of the Business Unit Leadership team
• Author, edit, and present technical documents and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 10-15 years of programming experience with required technologies
• At least 5 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture, and architectural frameworks
• At least 5 years of experience with the required technologies
• At least 2 years of experience with the required frameworks
• Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction
• Experience in defining new architectures and driving an independent project from an architectural standpoint
• Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Certification in the required technologies
