About the role

AHEAD builds platforms for digital business, focusing on cloud infrastructure, automation, analytics, and software delivery. The Principal Solution Architect leads design, deployment, and optimization of VMware Cloud Foundation solutions, guiding technical workstreams, mentoring consultants, and delivering end‑to‑end implementations. Remote, India, remote work model.

What you’ll do

  • Lead technical design and implementation of VCF solutions
  • Deploy and configure VCF components including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager, Aria Suite
  • Drive lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and optimization
  • Implement automation and IaC practices with PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible
  • Conduct technical workshops, design reviews, and knowledge transfer sessions
  • Mentor junior consultants and collaborate with architects and managers
  • Contribute to process improvements and reusable deployment frameworks
  • Ensure delivery excellence and stakeholder alignment

What you’ll bring

  • 14+ years of IT infrastructure/cloud/virtualization experience
  • Hands‑on expertise with VMware Cloud Foundation and SDDC stack
  • Experience with VCF on VxRail, HCI platforms, or VMware Cloud on AWS
  • Automation using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, Python
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
  • Client‑facing communication and workshop facilitation
  • Leadership of technical workstreams and mentoring teams
  • Relevant VMware certifications (e.g., VCAP, VCIX)
