About the role
Traction Power Engineering team at WSP designs and delivers traction power supply solutions for rail projects. The Senior Engineer leads design and coordination of traction power projects from business case through AFC, conducts technical studies, and supports clients across asset lifecycles using tools like CDGES, PSCAD, MATLAB, and ETAP. Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, hybrid work model with on‑site collaboration as needed.
What you’ll do
- Design and coordinate traction power projects from business case to AFC
- Conduct technical reports, feasibility and option selection studies
- Review earthing, bonding and protection studies
- Liaise with clients and develop tender proposals
- Support complex jobs throughout asset lifecycle
- Utilize software such as CDGES, PSCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, DiaLux, Opentrak, OpenPowerNet
What you’ll bring
- Minimum Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics and Power engineering
- Minimum 10 years of traction power supply engineering design experience
- Working toward or holding Chartered status (CPEng/NER/RPEQ) advantageous
