About the role
Frontier pod (Technology & Engineering) at Cognizant designs and governs agentic AI systems to deliver enterprise outcomes. The AI Architect leads the design, deployment, and quality assurance of custom agents, orchestrates AI workflows, and mentors engineers across the pod. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Design and deploy custom agents and agentic workflows
- Architect agentic deployments on enterprise platforms
- Define AI orchestration architecture and state-management patterns
- Create quality-assurance frameworks for agentic systems
- Engineer enterprise knowledge bases, ontologies, and retrieval pipelines
- Translate complex domain requirements into AI functional specifications
What you’ll bring
- 10-20 years AI systems design experience
- Agentic system architecture expertise
- Enterprise agent platforms such as Copilot Studio or Agentforce
- AI orchestration and state-management pattern knowledge
- Knowledge graph and ontology engineering skills
- RAG-at-scale and grounding strategy experience
- AI security and access control expertise
- Technical advisory and client engagement experience
