Lead Software Engineer - Salesforce

About the role

As a Lead Software Engineer - Salesforce within JPMorgan Chase's Consumer & Community Banking Technology Team, you will be a core technical contributor on an agile team, designing, building, and delivering secure, scalable Salesforce solutions that support the firm's business objectives. Day-to-day work includes executing creative software solutions, developing and reviewing production code, troubleshooting complex issues, leading vendor and internal evaluation sessions, driving communities of practice, and providing technical guidance to junior developers. The role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

What you’ll do

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical prob
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within exist
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

What you’ll bring

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• 10+ years of proven ability to architect scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce solutions that support business objectives
• Advanced hands-on development skills in Apex, LWC, and JavaScript, with experience across Sales and Service Clouds
• Expertise in implementing complex integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs
• Establish coding standards, conduct design reviews, and ensure adherence to platform governor limits and industry best practices
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers
• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving complex issues and optimizing system performance
• Experience implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments
