About the role
Coupang Intelligent Cloud (CIC) builds hyperscale GPU compute infrastructure to power AI training and inference for leading labs and enterprises. The Senior Staff System Engineer owns fleet architecture, drives reliability, automation, and cross‑functional influence across hardware, networking, and datacenter operations. Based in Bengaluru, the role is hybrid with on‑site and remote work.
What you’ll do
- Own end‑to‑end GPU fleet architecture and technical standards
- Drive reliability, availability, and performance objectives
- Lead automation for provisioning, diagnostics, and remediation
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reviews
- Mentor engineers across infrastructure teams
- Influence long‑term roadmap and hardware design
- Serve as senior escalation point for critical incidents
- Collaborate with hardware vendors to resolve platform issues
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years overall experience
- 8+ years Linux systems engineering
- Python and Bash automation
- GPU platforms (CUDA, NCCL)
- High‑speed interconnects (NVLink, InfiniBand)
