About the role

Senior Staff Physical Design Engineer (NoC/Uncore) at SiFive India leads the implementation of massive, high‑bandwidth interconnects and Uncore subsystems across multiple products from RTL to GDSII. The role drives NoC implementation, cross‑abstraction‑layer co‑design, aggressive PPA optimization, and methodology improvement while mentoring junior engineers. Based in Bengaluru, the position is on‑site with a focus on high‑performance RISC‑V IP.

What you’ll do

• Lead NoC implementation from synthesis to signoff
• Drive cross‑abstraction‑layer co‑design with architecture and RTL
• Solve NoC‑specific physical bottlenecks
• Architect floorplanning and macro placement
• Optimize PPA aggressively across product lines
• Collaborate with architecture, RTL, and power teams
• Improve physical design flows and automation
• Mentor junior engineers

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years physical design experience
• Deep knowledge of NoC micro‑architecture
• Expertise in hierarchical P&R and timing closure
• Proficiency with Synopsys/Cadence tools
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering
