About the role

Senior Engineer- IT Technical Support(L2) at ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited (GBS Chennai) owns data onboarding excellence for customer fleets, resolving complex L2 data ingestion and SQL issues within SLA. Day-to-day work includes standardizing and validating data integration pipelines (SQL, CSV/JSON/XML), improving onboarding workflows and data validation, maintaining documentation and SQL templates, and collaborating with Development/Product teams on escalations and product improvements. Based in Chennai, India, with a requirement to work European shifts.

What you’ll do

• Successfully onboard customer fleets (vehicles, devices, configurations) into the platform within SLA
• Standardize and validate data integration pipelines (SQL, CSV/JSON/XML ingestion) and reduce onboarding errors through data validation and mapping improvements
• Resolve complex L2 data ingestion and SQL issues within defined SLA using consistent troubleshooting standards and reusable SQL scripts
• Reduce recurrence of ingestion and configuration issues
• Identify and eliminate recurring onboarding/data issues through root cause analysis
• Implement improvements to onboarding workflows and data validation processes and contribute to scalable onboarding standards across Bus Connect
• Maintain up-to-date onboarding documentation, troubleshooting guides, and SQL templates to build a structured knowledge base enabling faster resolution and onboarding
• Provide clear escalation and resolution of product defects with Development/Product teams and create feedback loops translating customer/data issues into product improvements

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor degree in Engineering Domain (BE/BTech)
• Minimum 5+ years in IT Technical Support using SQL Server
• Knowledge and expertise in master data management systems such as SQL Server, Profisee, and Informatica MDM
• Familiarity with software such as Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and MS Teams
• Understanding of data transformation and ingestion workflows (CSV/JSON/XML formats, data cleaning, validation)
• Willingness to work in European shifts
• Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements; solution-oriented with capability to challenge existing processes and propose optimizations
