About the role
This role seeks a seasoned technical product manager to bridge technology, product, and business teams at EXL. The candidate will design and launch features for existing and new platforms, ensuring compliance with AML & sanctions regulations while driving payment innovation. Responsibilities include product vision, roadmap alignment, cross‑functional collaboration, agile delivery, data‑driven decision making, and stakeholder communication. The ideal applicant brings 8+ years of product experience, deep knowledge of payment processing, compliance systems, and AI/ML solutions, and strong analytical and leadership skills. The position is hybrid, based in Gurugram, India, and offers opportunities to shape product strategy across multiple Visa verticals.
What you’ll do
- Define product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals
- Lead cross‑functional teams across engineering, compliance, and ops
- Manage agile backlogs, sprint planning, and JIRA tracking
- Design API/service integrations and oversee SQL data queries
- Conduct data analysis to inform product decisions and metrics
- Execute user acceptance testing for frontend and backend features
- Create wireframes and mockups to enhance user experience
- Communicate complex topics to stakeholders and leadership
- Resolve incidents and coordinate with dev/ops to minimize impact
- Drive continuous learning and adapt to evolving product landscape
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years experience with bachelor’s degree or 6+ years with advanced degree or 2+ years with PhD
- Experience with compliance systems and strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of payment processing and Visa Net ecosystem
Nice to have
- Experience in AML, sanction screening, case/alert management
- Experience with AI/ML solutions
- Strong understanding of ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 standards
