Senior Engineer, Ab Initio

About the role

Iris Software, a fast‑growing IT services firm, delivers technology‑enabled transformation for financial services, healthcare, logistics and more. As a Senior Engineer you will design, develop and optimize Ab Initio data pipelines, integrate Oracle databases, and implement ETL processes using Unix scripting and JSON/XML handling. Work onsite in Noida with a shift of 10 AM‑9 PM IST, collaborating across finance‑focused teams to ensure high‑quality data flows.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement Ab Initio ETL workflows
• Develop and maintain Oracle database queries and performance tuning
• Create Unix shell scripts for data processing and automation
• Collaborate with finance domain experts to ensure data accuracy
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues
• Document technical solutions and best practices
• Support integration of AWS, Glue, Kafka and APIs as needed

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years Ab Initio development
• Strong Oracle SQL and performance tuning
• Unix/Linux shell scripting
• Data‑warehouse and ETL concepts
• Experience in financial services or capital markets
• Agile/Scrum methodology
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication and stakeholder management
