About the role
Enterprise AI Enablement team at Credit Acceptance builds AI-powered solutions that streamline dealer, consumer, and internal workflows. The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and ships production software leveraging LLMs, agentic workflows, and document intelligence, while contributing reusable pluggable components across enterprise processes. Remote work from India, overlapping with U.S. business hours for collaboration.
What you’ll do
- Partner with U.S. business partners to translate workflow requirements into technical deliverables
- Build applied AI capabilities such as automation, document intelligence, and decision support
- Implement context-aware agentic systems orchestrating tools, APIs, and business logic
- Develop reusable pluggable components for enterprise workflows
- Write unit tests, conduct impact analysis, and ensure code quality
- Lead code reviews and mentor less experienced engineers
- Participate in Agile sprint commitments and continuous learning activities
- Document designs, code, and project artifacts
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with AI-enabled systems, LLMs, and agentic workflows
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Strong understanding of system design, APIs, CI/CD, and version control
- Experience with data modeling and enterprise-class applications
- Ability to mentor junior engineers
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
