About the role
EQCR (Engagement Quality Control Review) team, Department of Professional Practice (DPP) at KPMG, drives audit quality by reviewing engagement work papers and ensuring compliance with PCAOB and SEC standards. The Associate Director leads initial reviews, guides audit teams, manages review schedules, and presents findings to stakeholders. Kolkata, India, on-site role with relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Perform initial reviews of work papers for specific audit areas
- Assist in reviewing accounting procedures, walkthroughs and controls
- Review financial statements and conduct inquiries with engagement teams
- Summarize review results and present to EQCR and engagement teams
- Drive EQCR work plan and ensure review schedules align with engagement due dates
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations
What you’ll bring
CA or CPA (active license)
Nice to have
- 8-11 years post‑qualification audit experience
- Big 4 integrated audit experience
- Experience with PCAOB, SEC regulations and US GAAP
- Prior role as Associate Director or Senior Manager
